Filmshooters and Timber Theatre have been running successful and acclaimed film acting workshops since 1992. People that have attended include actors Perry Benson, Charlie Creed-Miles, Tony Simpson, Mark Monero, Jake Wood, Frank Boyce, Dickon Tolson, Lee Ross and Patsy Palmer. Directors such as Dexter Fletcher, Joe Wright, Kathy Burke, W.I.Z and Susan Tully have also benefited from the fast paced improvisation sessions. Whether you want to attend for an entire term of eight weeks or just keep your acting skills toned with an occasional drop in class Timber welcomes actors of all levels and ages.


Director Graham Fletcher-Cook has run workshops at venues as varied as Jacksons Lane Arts Centre, Hoxton Hall, Stables Theatre, National Film Theatre, Chicken Shed Theatre and Wiltons Music Hall. Also film workshops for BFI, Cineclub, Pauline Quirke Academy and Interchange Studios.
The course of classes are a proven set of practical Stanislavski based exercises. The improvisation based training concentrates on film acting and how to apply method techniques to scenes on camera. Workshops are currently running in Pitfield Street, Hoxton N1( nearest tube Old St). The workshops are designed to be joined at any time so drop in’s are welcome.
